Aside from unveiling the bust of National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts Eddie Romero at the Presidencia grounds to celebrate his 100th birth anniversary, the Dumaguete National Museum has organized a memorabilia exhibit in his hometown to commemorate his life, works and legacy that will run until August 18, 2024.
Mayor Felipe Antonio B. Remollo, Director Joey Romero (son of NA Eddie Romero) Deputy Director General for Museums of the National Museum of the Philippines Jorell M. Legaspi and National Commission for Culture and the Arts Deputy Executive Director Marichu G. Tellano led the opening of the memorabilia exhibiT inside the Dumaguete National Museum Sunday night.
Among the items displayed are Eddie Romeroβs trophies, plaques, list of films he directed or produced, photos and other objects associated with the late national artist for appreciation of the present generation and inspire local artists to use their talents that will strengthen our Filipino identity, culture and values.
